I really like Rachel’s wedding dress as it had numerous layers and more importantly was medium long. So I decided to juxtaposition the emptiness against the layers of her dress. I pre-visualised the shot when I first saw her dress and was really glad the final image turned out well.
I remembered this was the moment when Ps Dev said “Let’s pray!” Hearing that, I instinctively closed my eyes, I had forgotten that I was the photographer! I quickly snapped out of it and whipped out my camera and clicked off a few shots. Sorry pastor, duty calls!
This also happens to be my favorite shot for the whole wedding because it signifies the strong fundamentals of a good husband-wife relationship grounded in Christ.
The march in of Rachel and her Dad was beautiful and I caught quite a few shots but amongst those I like this the most as it conveys what I really wanted to bring across. As what Rachel had said in her speech “Thank you Dad!”
